The Grafton Centre in Hyde is a vibrant, lively Health and Wellbeing Community Centre for the people of Tameside and we are open Monday to Friday.
The centre now has a membership of over 580 and growing, we have also added some new groups and classes recently, including ‘BBF Gold’ and ‘Use It Or Lose It’.
The Grafton Centre offers a wide and varied range of activities each day such as Zumba, Line Dancing, Bingo, Art Workshops, Drama, Indoor Bowling and much more. For a full list of what’s on offer please see our Activities page.
Our Bistro is open from 10:00 am to 1:30 pm daily offering a range of light snacks. We also offer a hot 2-course meal 5 days per week, at a subsidised rate, courtesy of our Volunteer Catering Team.
We have our own car park, but spaces are limited. However, Councillor Phillip Fitzpatrick, our Chair of Trustees, has managed to secure some free parking spaces for up to 2 hours in the side streets adjacent to the centre for our members.
We have also joined the Chamber of Commerce to gain access to new support avenues for the centre.
The Grafton Centre is a “Development Trust”, which means that it is run by the community itself, and we are always looking for people to be involved in taking the centre forward on its continued journey. If you are interested in offering your skills to expand the centre, you would just like to attend one of the classes, or want to come along for something to eat, just call in or contact the centre on 0161 368 4110 during our opening hours.
