The Grafton Centre in Hyde is a vibrant, lively Health and Wellbeing Community Centre for the people of Tameside and we are open Monday to Friday.
The centre now has a membership of 480 and growing, we have some new groups and classes. Musical Theatre, Fitsteps, Yoga & Pilates, Relaxation class, Dance buds, Weight Watchers, Nutrition, language class for children, Maths & English for children and a Christian meeting group.
We have our own car park, but spaces are limited. However, Councillor Phillip Fitzpatrick, our Chair of Trustees has managed to secure some free parking spaces in the side streets adjacent to the centre for our members.
We have also joined the Chamber of Commerce to gain access to new support avenues for the centre.
The centre offers a wide range of activities each day such as Zumba, Line Dancing, Bingo, Art Workshops, Drama Groups, Indoor Bowling and much more (see HERE).
We also offer a hot 2-course meal 5 days per week courtesy of our Volunteer Catering Team. The Bistro is open from 10:30 am to 1:00 pm daily offering a range of light snacks.
Grafton is a “Development Trust” which means that the centre is run by the community itself, and we are always looking for people to be involved in taking the centre forward on its continued journey. If you are interested in offering your skills to expand the centre, you would just like to attend one of the classes or come along for something to eat, please just call in or contact the centre on 0161 368 4110.
